Hi. I’m Casey, formerly known as Brewsky. I am so excited because I have found my forever home with Greg and Brooke and their two children, Garrett and Avery. I also live with 2 resident cats and 2 cockatiels. When my new family came to meet me, it was love at first sight! They couldn’t stop thinking about me and I joined their family the very next day. We’ve been having a ball every since, taking long walks every day and playing fetch in the backyard. I even got to join my new family on vacation in Colorado. I could play fetch for hours and I’m a great retriever. I even bring my ball to Garrett and Avery and drop it at their feet. My family is teaching me to catch a frisbee and I have to admit, I’m pretty good at it! In my previous home I wasn’t getting the love and attention that I deserved. I don’t think I need to worry about that happening again. I’ve been having so much fun with my new family, that I think they are wearing me out!
Hi! I am Winky and I am a lucky girl! I picked the best mom and dad possible! Melinda and Larry are at home with me almost every day and can shower me with love and attention. I am their only child at home, so I am feeling pretty special these days. I have met another neighborhood Golden and hope to have some play dates soon! We go for lots of walks, which is perfect because I love being outdoors with them. The smile on my face is quite evident and I am happy and know this is my forever home!
ddie was surrendered to GRRIN at only five months old and she’d already lived in three different households. She was a bundle of energy without much control (but, hey, aren’t all puppies supposed to be that way?). It didn’t take long for her to gain some manners at her foster home with Candie. Addie quickly learned to get along with the resident dogs and learned the house rules. The family that adopted her is committed to continuing the path of structure and love so that Addie can become an even better grown-up Golden. It’s all summed up in their note to GRRIN: “Just wanted to let you know that Addie is a wonderful dog. Liam, Katie, Rory and I all have a wonderful time with her. She loves carrots for her treats. She loves to go for walks. She is quite the soccer player. She has her own ball and really works the kids in soccer. She loves to have her fur combed. We took her to PetSmart and she won the musical chair game. She eagerly picked out a bunny for her prize and tore/chewed it to shreds. She loves to go for rides in the truck with our family. She will stick her head out the window and enjoy the wind. She is very smart and has already learned: sit, shake and “kennel up”. She knows her name and knows when it is time to play/go for a walk and she knows when the kids are supposed to be coming home from school. Addie is a wonderful part of our family. She is a perfect fit. Thanks for giving Addie to us.”
Rudy is truly a “happy ending” dog. He lived the majority of his life outdoors, without attention or regular food and water. When he entered foster care, he wasn’t housetrained, he didn’t know any puppy manners, and he was nervous around other dogs and cats. That all changed quickly as his new foster parents worked with him patiently and his resident dog buddies taught him to play. Rudy was adopted by a family with two children and their own resident dog, Bear. Rudy is a perfect fit, as stated by his new mom:
“Rudy has been amazing in the few days that we’ve had him so far. He is loving and sweet but most of all patient with our kids (which even I have trouble being). Our dog Bear adores him and they play so well together. I have another constant shadow now that follows me everywhere and he’s so laidback he fits in perfectly with our family. Sarah and Justin were AWESOME Foster parents! They were a huge factor in us adopting Rudy by their dedication to him and how well they did with him. They are wonderful people and we couldn’t be more thankful to them as well!” Congratulations to Rudy and his new “forever” family!!
Hi, everyone! My name is Maggie and I’m so happy to be in my new forever home with Mike, Marci, and my new little brother, Theodore, a Golden who’s only 18 months old! I think he’s going to help keep me on my toes. I had fun living in my foster home with Curt, Kathy and their Golden, Wiley (also a GRRIN dog) but now I’m really home. I have a big back yard to play in with Theo and a new family who’s just the best. If you could see me now, my tail would be wagging like crazy with sheer happiness. By the way, I’m the red girl in the picture, and that’s Theodore with me.
My name is Roxie and I was so lucky to have such a great foster family, they decided they wanted to give me a forever home! When I came to GRRIN I was a very frightened girl who was a breeder dog my entire life. I knew nothing about living in a loving home and was very frightened around humans. Steve, Lois and their pets welcomed me to their house and things started to turn around. I learned to trust the humans I now consider my family and the dogs and cats in the household are my buddies. They’re all teaching me how to enjoy life as a happy Golden and I’m well on my way. Thanks, GRRIN!!!
My name is Cleo and I recently was adopted by my new forever family John, Lori, Machaela, Andrea and Christopher. I love my new big backyard and chasing bunnies. I enjoy going on walks and riding in the car to pick up the kids at school. The kids are good at brushing me and feeding me treats. I am a little mischievous and get into trash cans around the house, finding Kleenex or paper to chew. My owner is battling cancer right now and I keep him company whenever the rest of the family is out of the house. I have really fit in well with my new family and am very thankful to GRRIN for finding me a new home.
I’m Duke and I think I’m finally at my forever home with John and his Golden, Sandi! You might have seen me on the adoption page more than once because I have separation anxiety and need to be in a home with a dog buddy. John says that Sandi and I are “dog buds” and we get along great, plus I really bonded with John quickly. You can see us relaxing in this picture - I’m the handsome blonde and Sandi is the gorgeous redhead. I want to give a special thank you to my foster family (Scott, Kelly, Zac, Sherman and Chloe) for having so much patience with me and letting me stay with them, and thanks to John and Sandi for giving me another chance!
Hello all,
Rusty here. I’m adjusting well to life with the new fam. I follow
mom around all day and adore dad. I’ve been spending some quality
time getting to know my geriatric Golden cohort Sandy. Most people
who see us can’t tell us apart, although I personally feel I look much
younger. We play chase the tennis ball, but when she gets it she
always wants to change the game to keep away. That’s OK. She soon
forgets it and then I seize my chance to snag it back. The little
kids of the house are just in love with me and fight over who gets to
put food in my dish at suppertime. The neighbors behind our house
have a new baby Golden so I have opportunities to wrestle and play
with him from time to time. For the most part, I have been on my best
behavior since arriving at my new digs. Once in while I can’t resist
sneaking a snooze on the soft couch though. Sandy and I also enjoy
terrorizing the squirrels and rabbits in the back yard. We are
ferocious, as far as they know. All in all, life is good. Super glad
to be in a forever home. Thanks GRRIN!

Hi! I’m Trudy and you never saw me on the “Available Dogs” page because, thanks to GRRIN, I went straight to my forever home. I was found as a stray and surrendered because I’m completely blind and have special needs. I’m not always sure about meeting other dogs but I love every human I meet. The Nebraska Humane Society and a great guy named Chet helped take care of me before I was adopted through GRRIN. When I met my forever family they knew I was supposed to be their dog. And guess what? They already have a blind cat, Sunshine, so they know how to take care of me. Renata and Laurel have taught me how to get around their home (even the stairs, but they put up a baby gate at night) and they don’t mind that I stay near them all the time! Nobody knows for certain how old I am - they’re guessing six or seven years - but I’m glad I still have a long time to live in my safe home with such a loving family.
